A 23-year old man was arrested in Chantada by the Civil Guard on suspicion of stealing money and jewelery from two homes in O Savinao. The Monforte Judge investigating the case sent him to jail because he has committed other similar crimes in the same year. There are neighbors that claim they saw him flee from the house.
Two theft complaints filed recently by residents in two towns within the parish of Rebordaos led to this arrest.
Two houses were robbed, and the thieves entered them after the owners left. They suspect the perpetrator of these attacks watched the movement around the homes he was interested in and then entered the house when the occupants left.
