On October 13, at around 8 pm, a tractor pulling two trailers collided with a house on Main Street.
Police said that the crash had caused structural damage on both the first and second floors of the building, which houses an office on the ground floor as well as an apartment on the top floor. Police said that the residents of the apartment building were at home during this incident, but were uninjured. Driver also avoided injury. Emergency crews were able to remove the tractor from the front of building once it was determined that the area was safe.
Police said that a 23-year old Huron East resident was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failure to stop at a traffic light, driving carelessly and not remaining.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue reports that a fire on Tuesday damaged a Ridgetown house to the tune of $600,000.
The fire department reported that firefighters from Ridgetown responded at 11:50 pm on Tuesday to the fire in a home located on Main Street. They found smoke coming out of the second and first floors and heavy flames.
The fire department reported that crews were still on the scene Wednesday morning, when the fire was finally brought under control. No injuries were reported.
It was not possible to determine the cause of fire.
